2. Rhythm is relevant to the music
industry, short assertive with an
elegant fluency. Rhythm means in
step and sync with the song so this
implies the magazine is in step and
in touch with music society and
news. Purple is associated with
royalty and white with purity, both
positive connotations.

3. My tag line is ‘Never miss a beat. It’s
a reference to a song by the Kaiser
chiefs, ‘never miss a beat’ who were
born in Leeds which is the starting
point of the magazine. Never miss a
beat relates to the title as rhythm
means keeping in beat. Telling the
audience to never miss a beat means
if they buy the magazine they’ll never
miss news. or a band, or new music
ect.

4. My chosen genre is
indie/alternative. I came to this
decision as it was my most popular
choice of genre in my survey and
my interview. This means I will
review and talk about indie music
and will feature indie artists. This
soft quite music will appeal to the
elegance of the upper class that I
am trying to appeal to.

5. The frequency for my magazine will be once a month
as my survey said they are most likely to buy a
magazine every other month. My magazine will cost
£4 as my survey said they are most likely to pay £4-5
however my interview said £1.50-2 so I came
together with the figure of £4, which was the latter
end of my optimum survey price results. The
frequency and price of my magazine both allow me to
make quality magazine as opposed to a cheap
magazine strung out every week.

6. My colour scheme is purple and white. I
chose these colour’s as they are not typical
colours for magazines, like the usual red and
black’s you see. But do still flow together
nicely. Purple has connotations of royalty
and white purity. With these colour choices
there connotations, and the fact that my
magazine is monthly made for £4 implies
that my magazine will be for the upper class.
My third colour will be navy blue to still
appeal to a male perspective.
