Target Audience Profile
The reader of Live and Loud is a young person aged between 15-23 with a range of
interests including a passion for indie rock and live music. They are creative and
socialable enjoying a great social life including spending a lot of time chilling with mates
and attending partys.
The reader enjoys meeting new people which I suppose goes hand in hand with the fact
they are sociable, they don’t shy away from enjoying/ indulging themselves at party’s –
meaning they like and drink and often wont shy away from getting very drunk! They are
very friendly and make a lot of noise in social situations, being the centre of attention
isn’t an issue for them and could occasionally be something they desire.
They wouldn’t class themselves as particularly academic however they’re sophisticated
and attend university studying a course they are passionate about and enjoy. They
wouldn’t study something they don’t enjoy as they feel that life is about enjoying
yourself and doing what makes your happy.
2. The reader of Live and Loud will aim to go to a gig as often as often sometimes even
going once a week. When they’re not studying at university they sing in their band
playing in local pubs. They band produce Indie Rock music hence the reader’s interest
and passion for the genre. They not only read the magazine to fir entertainment and for
information about live music, they also use it as inspiration fir their own band. Looking
at song lyric and pictures of artists replicating and reflecting the fashion of artists and
bands in the magazine in the way their own band looks aesthetically.
As I previously touched upon n the reader looks for fashion ideas from they’re favourite
bands and artists in the magazine, well the reader has a huge interest in fashion and is
always looking to keep up to date with the latest indie rock styles, the magazine
provided the content they need for this.
