1. Tell me in no more than20 words, what is your
FMP idea?
Create a marketingcampaigninvolvingdifferent
typesof printmedia (posters, billboards) and
video (TV adverts) for a product.
Why have youdecided to makeit? I havedecided tomake it as it wouldbe a good
way to showcasedifferent skills that I can utilise
to create media in different formats effectively.
What aboutyourproject makesit importantto
you?
This project is importanttome as it will allow me
to use my skills in photoediting, video editing and
combine them. I will be able to use my creative
skills to designa productthen create a series of
different typesof adverts todisplay it as if it was a
real sportsstyledrink.
Outline someof the initial influences onyour
idea/work and somepotential research targets
(remember, research isn’t justa paperbased
activity)
The biggest influence onthis idea was
McDonald’s, asthey have a wide variety of food
basedadverts thatuse many different formatsfor
placing their advertising. Some of these advert
typesis: Bus tickets, TV, posters, billboards, digital
billboards, The Golden Arches logo and a
memorable jingle.
For my research I want to see the similarities
between energy drinksand see why a customer
would buy one.
What effect do youwant to haveon your
audience when they see yourproject?
I want my project of havingthe effect of attracting
customersto purchasethe sportsdrink product.
Ideally the advertwill familiarise them with the
productandmake them recognise it, andwant to
buy and useit.
Describe the tone/mood/styleofyourproject
[which productiontechniques/characteristicsare
youemploying?]
I want my project tohave a serious focusedmood
thatuses coloursand lighting in the design to
display that mood. I would probably usea bold
andbright style to give it an energy drink style.
Why have youdecided to makeyour project in
this style?
As the productthat I want toadvertise will most
likely be a sportsdrink, I want those thatview the
advertsto see this drink as somethingthatwould
be used by athletes to help themtrain harder and
compete. It is importantto create thisstyle as it
will make thosewho purchasethe productaspire
to be like those figures.
