TOPIC: HOW TO WRITE BUSINESS ADVERTISEMENT AND
POLICIES FOR A GOOD WILL IN THE MARKET AS A NEW
BRAND AND PROMOTING YOUR BUSINESS.
INTRODUCTION
 Advertising is an effective way to communicate with your audience about your
products and services. It is a paid form of promotion, so it needs to deliver
meaningful and clear results.
 Advertising is a part of the promotional mix and is often the most visible aspect of
marketing.
BENEFITS OF ADVERTISEMENT
Advertisement of your brand can help you achieve your marketing objectives. It is a
powerful and effective way for your business to :
 Getting noticed by the customers.
 The customers come across about the brand or product.
Advertising is about 'spreading the word.' It's about telling and selling the story so
people know, trust and remember your brand. Through words, sounds and images,
advertising can connect on an emotional level, beyond purely functional and rational
benefits.
 It’s what you say.
 It’s how you say.
 It’s how you make people feel about your product.
HOW TO PLAN YOUR ADVERTISEMENT
To plan your advertisement :
 Define your objectives about the product.
 Set a friendly budget for advertising your brand.
 Create your unique selling point i.e. what you offer and what your customers want.
 Take a better way to advertise your brand. It means a better medium that can make a
proper interaction with your product to the people.
 Organise your schedule. Keep a note on “reach” and “frequency”. Total number of
people saw your advertisement and number of times your advertisement is presented.
Review your result.
WAYS FOR ADVERTISING
A successful advertising campaign will :
• Increase awareness of your business and product.
• Attract customers.
• Generate sales.
For each advertising type, consider the:
• Potential reach.
• Cost (media, creative, production, etc.).
• Call of action (how you want people to respond).
Newspaper
Magazines
Radio
Television
Online (Social Media)
Outdoor (Hoardings, Digital Display, etc.)
HOW TO WRITE AN EFFECTIVE ADVERTISEMENT
 Determine the medium (where to publish).
 Identify your audience (people having interest similar to your product).
 Create a headline (it engages the audience and provide useful insight into what they can
gain from your brand or business.)
 Include a hook (use interesting language and terminology to your advertisement to
captivate your reader and encourage them to continue reading.)
 List a problem (describe the customer’s pain point and highlight some relatable aspects of
dealing with the issue.)
 Share a solution (share how your company’s product or service solves that problem.)
 Describe your product (provide a description of the product or service you are offering to
the customer.)
 Be honest (ensure that all the information you include in your writing is verifiable and
accurate.)
 Use statistics (this can make the customers/readers engage with your brand, product or
service.)
 Add keywords (if you are posting your advertisement writing online, ensure that you include
keywords that a prospective buyer might use when searching online or looking for a
solution to their pain point.)
 Be concise (keep your writing short, simple and direct.)
 Add visuals (consider adding an image, photo, illustration or video in your writing content.)
ADVERTISING REGULATIONS
Your advertising must always provide customers with the 'whole picture’ :
 It must be factual.
 All discounts must be genuine.
 The overall impression must not be misleading.
FOUR STANDARDS RULES FOR CREATING GOOD ADVERTISEMENT
ARE SUMMARIZED AS FOLLOWS :
 Attract attention - develop a good headline.
 Gain interest - make people to read, watch or listen to your product.
 Build desire - help the customer who are interested in your product.
 Get action – always ask for the sale.
THAT’S ALL FROM MY SIDE.
