Alex Onyejuba conducted research to better understand the target audience and demographics for action and sport genres. They analyzed box office data and fan reviews of movies, finding that action movies generally make more money than sport movies, indicating a larger audience. As their film opening combines action and sport, it is likely to have a relatively large audience. Additional research showed comedy, action, and adventure as the top three most popular genres. Incorporating elements of comedy into the film opening would help attract a bigger audience and make more money.

Further Research
To help further establish my target audience and my research I will be studying box office data and fan reviews about
particular movies they’ve watched to identify the scope and demographic of Action/Sport genre fans.
Sport Action
Both of these tables show the top 10 best movies in the genre’s Sport and Action. As shown on the table you can see
that by looking at the amount of money made you can notice that there’s a big difference. Action movies made much
more money than Sport movies do, which tells us that a lot more people were attracted and wanted to watch an
action movie rather than a sporting movie.
This just tells me as a director that I ’m bound to have a relatively big audience due to my film opening being a
mixture of Action and Sport.

From collecting all these different results and information I can come to the conclusion that out of all the genres
there are the top main three are Comedy, Action and Adventure. I have found out that movies that contain either one
of those three genres are bound to have a huge audience, which would lead to getting a lot of money.
So from all of this it would be safe to conclude that it would be better and preferable to add hints of comedy into the
film opening that my partner and I are about to produce.
