Question Four
WHO WOULD BE THE AUDIENCE FOR YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT??
GEORGE JACKLIN
Who is our film aimed at??
 The demographics of our film are people who are 35 or over, white
males and working class. These are the type of people who are
most likely to be watching an action film. We know this because of
the research that we have done that tells you what type of people
like what type of film.
This is a target audience profile for
the correct demographics that
would fit in to my film. In this profile
you can see what it is that he likes
about the action films and it also
tells you his age gender social
class and ethnicity so you know
that he fits in well to the chosen
demographics.
Why have we chose this audience?
 We have dome some background research in to what type of films
that people tend to watch. We fund out that for an action film the
audience should be white males, over the age of 35 and in working
class. These are stereotypically the group of people who would
watch this film. This is maybe because they feel the need for
escapism and to get away from reality. As they are working class
they like to feel like they are in an action film as it creates a very
good equilibrium that they feel like they are involved in and are a
part of. These films also provide a large amount of entertainment for
people in this category.
This is some of the
information that I have found
out about the target
audience that should fit to
our film. From this information
we found out everything that
we need to know about the
audience that will fit in with
our film. We also found out
some things about the
restrictions that our films
need so hat they can work
with this target audience
BBFC
 The target audience that is involved in our film in in place to
ensure that we can provide the correct content for our
audience. For example you wouldn’t have bold and gore in
a child's film. Where as you also wouldn’t have childish
behaviour in an action film for 18 year olds. The things that
make our film rated at 18 is the amount of violence. There is
gunshots and other seems of a violent background. There is
also some scenes where there is bad language throughout.
There is also some scenes where there will be mild
sex/nudity. All of the above tell us about what the age
rating should be around the 18 mark. The themes
throughout this film are conflict, heroic, violence and war.
Multiplex of independent cinema?
 As our film is a mainstream film it means that it will need to be shown
in a multiplex cinema so that we can make all of our money
because we wouldn’t be able to make as much money in a smaller
cinema. AS our film is a action film I think that it would be more able
to get to the correct target audience because if it was at a smaller
cinema the target audience probably wouldn’t bee reached as
people who go there will more then likely like films that have a more
niche audience.

Question four

  • 1. Question Four WHO WOULD BE THE AUDIENCE FOR YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT?? GEORGE JACKLIN
  • 2. Who is our film aimed at??  The demographics of our film are people who are 35 or over, white males and working class. These are the type of people who are most likely to be watching an action film. We know this because of the research that we have done that tells you what type of people like what type of film. This is a target audience profile for the correct demographics that would fit in to my film. In this profile you can see what it is that he likes about the action films and it also tells you his age gender social class and ethnicity so you know that he fits in well to the chosen demographics.
  • 3. Why have we chose this audience?  We have dome some background research in to what type of films that people tend to watch. We fund out that for an action film the audience should be white males, over the age of 35 and in working class. These are stereotypically the group of people who would watch this film. This is maybe because they feel the need for escapism and to get away from reality. As they are working class they like to feel like they are in an action film as it creates a very good equilibrium that they feel like they are involved in and are a part of. These films also provide a large amount of entertainment for people in this category.
  • 4. This is some of the information that I have found out about the target audience that should fit to our film. From this information we found out everything that we need to know about the audience that will fit in with our film. We also found out some things about the restrictions that our films need so hat they can work with this target audience
  • 5. BBFC  The target audience that is involved in our film in in place to ensure that we can provide the correct content for our audience. For example you wouldn’t have bold and gore in a child's film. Where as you also wouldn’t have childish behaviour in an action film for 18 year olds. The things that make our film rated at 18 is the amount of violence. There is gunshots and other seems of a violent background. There is also some scenes where there is bad language throughout. There is also some scenes where there will be mild sex/nudity. All of the above tell us about what the age rating should be around the 18 mark. The themes throughout this film are conflict, heroic, violence and war.
  • 6. Multiplex of independent cinema?  As our film is a mainstream film it means that it will need to be shown in a multiplex cinema so that we can make all of our money because we wouldn’t be able to make as much money in a smaller cinema. AS our film is a action film I think that it would be more able to get to the correct target audience because if it was at a smaller cinema the target audience probably wouldn’t bee reached as people who go there will more then likely like films that have a more niche audience.
