2. CLAMPS
• In this PowerPoint I am going to be talking
about the use of mise-en-scene in out film
opening. I am going to be using clamps to help
me. Costume, lighting, actors, make-up, props
and the setting. It is very important that we
get all of these things 100% correct so that the
hole film works together.

3. Costume
• The costume that we will be using is very
important to get right. All of the people in the film
are going to have specific clothing to fit there
character. For example all of the anonymous
members are ex marines so they will all be dressed
in the clothing that they would have had when
they was in the marines like a tactical vest and
some cargo pants. There is also a very important
piece of costume, the mask. This is to be warn at
all times by all of the mercenaries so that their
true identity isn't reviled. On the other hand the
man from the cooperation will be in a suit to
connote that he is a powerful business man.

4. Body armour
• The body armour we will be using will help us
show that they are of a military background
and follow the rules of war, also it provides
them with a sense of protection as they know
they can be thrown into the action at any
point.

5. Masks
• The mask we will be using are the traditional
Guy Fawkes or V for vendetta masks as seen in
the film. The masks themselves are quite
striking as they hold one emotion all the time
this adds intimidation and power to the
mercenaries. Also the masks are so well known
and are worn by the hacktivists group also
known as Anonymous. This helps us get a sense
of recognition as people may already know
who they are.

6. Lighting
• The lighting for the scenes will be all natural
because it is going to be outside and if we use
lamps then it will look tacky and be obvious
that it is not real. We have decided that the
film will be shot in day light so that you are
able of seeing all of the props and actors
without missing out on important props such as
guns.

7. Actors
• For the actors we have enlisted the help of
two former media students one of witch has
gone on to study media in university. I think
that they are a very good choice of actors to
use because nether of them are camera shy so
they will be able of preforming to full
preternatural. As they look old they will make
the film look more realistic and not like
children. Also Kane is who we want to do the
narration as he has a YouTube channel so he is
very confident at talking in public.

8. Make up
• The make we will need to use will be very
limited maybe so bruises or marks on the
hostages face or some blood or scars on the
hostages which could show and symbolise that
they have been fighting this war for a long
time and shows what they have had to go
through.

9. props
• The props that we use will be the masks, guns
and a old pick up truck. The pick up truck will
fit in to the genre as it shows how worn down
the world has become and that over time the
world they are now set ii can ruin everything.
The guns will be used to symbolise power and
status as well as the masks to hide there
identity and show its not who they are under
the mask because they represent something
much bigger.

10. Settings
• The settings we will be using will be old war
satellite dishes at stenigot airfield, this will be
a good location because it will show a post
apocalyptic setting as the location is old it will
look like a wasteland slightly and the rusty old
satellite dishes will help to culminate that
effect.
