We will need a photo frame with a picture of the
“happy” couple to emphasise what their relationship is
to the audience. This works because every couple has
photos together so the audience has a clear idea of
who the pair are, their history etc.
This will help show that the pair are a loved up couple
that live together, not just housemates. Additionally, the
delicate style of the photo frame represents that
nothing comes easy and the wife has to be careful in
her life.
3. Flowers and Vase
Flowers represent that the husband is
loving, loyal and caring. This goes
towards helping create the red-herring
of a character he is: Manipulative,
violent and abusive. But also suggest
that the pair are a normal couple who
are deeply happy with one another.
They will feature with the wife picking
them of the floor as they were knocked
during a fight between her and her
husband.
4. Plastic Glass
This will be seen shattered and
smashed on the floor to show how
intense the arguments get between
the pair.
It will only be a cheap glass or one
which won't be missed - which reduces
production costs
5. Hoover and
Washing Up
Gloves
These are used to highlight the fact
what our heroin is a stereotypical
housewife. She is the homemaker and
the husband is the breadwinner (not to
mention home wrecker).
Additionally, they highlight the fact she
always has to clean up the mess the
pair make then the husband starts a
fight.
