different methods of seed dispersal

1. Dandelion
Each seed has a parachute of fine hairs attached
which will help seeds to fly in dry air when air
becomes moist the hair clumps together and the seed
sinks to the ground

2. Cleaver
The sticky seeds attach to animals and travels to
new areas

3. Poppy head
The heads dry out as seeds mature and seeds
are scattered through small openings when wind
shakes the stalk

4. Lupins
They have pods that split open as they dry
out,this catapults the seed far from the parent.

5. Coconut
The outer husk allows it to float in sea currents
to new areas.

6. Nuts
Squirrels distribute nuts by collecting and
burying them.

7. Hawthorn berries
Birds eat these berries and then pass the hard
seed out in their faeces elsewhere,the seeds
have their own dose of fertiliser

8. Sycamore
They have wings which make them spin and
keeps them in the air longer and spread further
away form parent
