2. Dispersal by animal
1) Method 1
The colorful fruit that attracts the animal and the animal eat the fruit and the fruit
enter the digestive system. The fruit is digested except the seed, when the food is
completely digested, the faeces and the seed excreted out together and it landed at
some other places, the seed might grow healthily as the faeces supply them with the
vitamin. Example : Apples or Mangoes.
2)Method 2
The furry animal that pass by any plant that contains the hook-like seeds, these seeds
will hook onto their fur and these animal will carry these seeds to other places, the
seeds will fall off eventually at other places & the seeds will start to germinate at
other places. Example : Mimosa & Lalang.
3. Dispersal by explosion
The fruit will explode when it is ripe. This process will cause the seeds to shoot far
away from the parent plant and landed at some other place. The seeds will start to
germinate and grow into a new plant .
Example : Peas or ladies fingers
4. Dispersal by water
The fruit will drop of and it will be carried off by water to other places and landed at
other shore. The fruit will grow into another seedlings & continue to grow into a new
plant.
Examples : Coconut or Pong Pong fruit.
5. Dispersal by water
When the wind is blowing, the wind will blow the seeds that have the wing-like
structure to other place which could be far away. The seeds will landed at certain
places and they will continue to germinate and grow into a new plant.
Example : Angsana.
