2. Here is an example of one of the questionnaires that have been filled out. I have asked 6 questions for my target audience to fill out. These questions I have asked can help me determine what my target audience is looking for in a local newspaper.
12. How often do you read local newspapers? From this question, I now know that our target audience reads local newspaper often. As we can see, or target audience reads the local newspaper at least as the ‘’Not at all” option hasn’t been ticked.
13. When was the last time you read an article? From this question I asked in the questionnaire, we can see that our target audience reads the local newspaper recently and often, instead of reading it months ago, apart from one.
14. What type of stories do you read about in a local newspaper? Obviously, a lot of people, that I asked like reading about crime and negative stories, this is common in probably every reader in the UK. The other types of stories are boring and not exciting.
15. What is most important to include in a local newspaper? A lot of people, especially My target audience are more visual than reading the articles. A lot of people look at headlines and images before reading the article. From looking at a still image, you can absorb a lot of information. “ A picture has a 1000 words”
16. Does using images and catchy headlines draw attention and make you want to read on? Like the other question, we can see that the audience I surveyed are very visual. Our target audience are seem to look at images and headlines rather than actually reading the article.
