2. COLOUR IS ESSENTIAL
• As the producer of the magazine, for me to attract the audience to my
music magazine, I need to address my creativity and ideas through the
magazine such as the masthead and colour schemes. Every piece in the
magazine has a very important role.
3. MASTHEAD
• . The masthead is called 'Pop-iT' to represent my brand. By placing it really
bold and colourful attracts my target audience making it appealing to
them. Also being drawn with the catchy (obvious) title.
4. LOOKS DO COUNT
• The image I use on my front cover is really important. For the audience to
take interest in my magazine, it all comes to the conclusion that the
audiences MUST "like what they see". The cover star I have used in the front
cover looks handsome, charming and links expression of the cover star to the
genre pop. If I put on a different image of a person who looks very
unappealing, my target audience wouldn't even lay a hand on my
magazine since they are put off. However, it is not only for images that
makes the target audience to feel interested in my magazine.
5. SOME LIKE TO READ
• Some people prefer the reading instead of the colourful images because
they find it more interesting as there is gossip or exciting news about the star.
Especially in the front cover and the contents page, the text attracts 60% of
the audience because they saw an interesting topic of the star they adore
or follow, and the rest are drawn because of the appearance.
6. EXTRAS
• for me to make my target audience to take interest in my magazine is to
give them what they want, and not always what the producer wants. During
my proposal, my audience gave me constructive feedback, some of which
was to include posters, concert tickets and prizes in the magazine as it will
widen my audience and reach out to more people.
