2. How did you attract your target
audience?
• I think I’ve attracted my audience through the
images and house styles of my magazine. My
magazine includes a colour scheme that would
appeal to all genders and complement each other
well and stand out. The images I have included on
the pages of my magazine include teens to late
teens looking relaxed and happy, which was
something that I wanted my magazine to connote
overall. I’ve tried to keep my magazine looking as
consistent as possible so that it would look more
professional and therefore connote a more mature
approach to my magazine that the specific target
audience would be more interested in.
3. Do you think the front cover of my magazine
would attract the target audience?
• Lisa- I think it would attract the target audience because the image connotes
a relaxed and friendly looking magazine and the colours would appeal to
your target audience, also because they are colours seen on very similar
genre real life magazines.
• Imaani – Yes I think it would attract the target audience mostly because of the
cover lines on your magazine. Because these advertise the bands that are
going to feature in there it brings across the genre you are trying to achieve in
your magazine and would appeal more to the target audience knowing
some popular mainstream bands which are going to be included in your
magazine as well as some upcoming ones to keep the magazine fresh and
interesting.
• Gina – I think your front cover would attract the target audience mostly
because of what has been said above. It is quite plain but does include
popular bands that will feature in the magazine which should attract the
audience more than if they weren’t there.
4. Do I think my magazine
name would appeal to the
target audience?
• I chose the name “Insight” for my music magazine
as I was hoping to create the magazine to be an
“Insight” into the genre and music I was going to
feature and advertise in my magazine.
INSIGHT
5. Would my contents page and double page
spread appeal to the target audience?
• Lisa – I think your contents page would appeal to the target
audience because it includes a variety of different artists which
would attract more of an audience than a magazine purely aimed
at mainstream artists.
• Imaani – I think your double page spread would appeal to your
audience because the image makes the double page spread look
happy and relaxed and also the text is chatty and informal which
makes the magazine easier and more interesting to read.
• Gina – I think your contents page and double page spread look
consistent which connotes a more professional magazine. The
contents page looks fuller and more appealing that the front cover,
but I think it does work overall.
