What do you think of the colour scheme?
Jack “ yeah I really like it, it stands out so therefore it would attract me into buying it, also the
colours are associated with boys so I would feel comfortable buying it as well”
Would you consider buying this magazine? Why?
Jack “yeah I defiantly would because of the bands featured on the front cover and contents page,
most of them I really like, so I would want to read more about them and find out when they are
touring or bringing out a new album. Also I think the price is good which is a bonus “
What stands out the most on the front cover? Why?
Jack “I think the cover lines stand out the most in the front cover because they stand out because
of the colours and also they appeal to me and because of that I would buy the magazine to read
about the bands featured on the magazine. The image is also striking as you would expect that
pose that he is doing”
What could be done to improve the front cover?
Jack “the footer at the bottom could be improved. I think that the blue footer is a bit too bright
and in your face. I think it would look a lot better if they made it a lighter blue or used the colour
red instead”
What do you think of the layout of the contents page?
Jack “I think it is good because it is easy to follow so therefore it makes it easy to read. I also like
the subheadings you have used which make it organised and easy to follow”
What do you think are the weaknesses of the contents page?
Jack “probably the image as I don’t think it stands out, it would have been better if it was a closer
shot of the band and also if it was not in black and white”
Do you think the double page looks professional?
Jack “yes I think it does because of the headline as it makes you want to read on which is what you
would expect in a music artist article. I also really like the image that is used, even though it is very
similar the image used for the front cover it is striking and fits into the genre of the magazine”
What could be done to improve the double page spread and why?
Jack “I think that the background of the text could be improved, I feel that it is too bright and
because of that it makes the text quite hard to read, but a part from that I like the double page
spread”
