3. Research
When researching my magazine I found it hard to find something to help me
make the magazine, the only magazine I found was White Dwarf which was a
magazine for Warhammer 40k and Warhammer age of sigmar. So because of
this I had to use this magazine as my primary influence of my work. So when
looking at my magazine it will look mainly similar to the White dwarf
magazine. I used the rule books from different table top games as the other
influents in my magazine cover. My research was able to help me make it as
close to an authentic magazine cover as I could make it.
4. Planning
When planning my magazine I decided to work on the layout then add in the
other elements of the magazine. With planning I was able to work at a good
speed because I knew what needed to be worked on at a set time. Because of
this my work was completed at a faster rate than I would have done without
planning. Also because of planning I was able to incorporate all the elements
that I originally wanted it to include, so I didn't miss out any of the elements
that should be included in my work.
5. Time Management
When making my product time management was important and because of
this I was able to complete my product as well as have extra time to check for
what I could improve on it. If I had even more time to work on my magazine
cover I would have looked to see if I could have improved on it and make I
look better. With more time the magazine would be made to look more
authentic than it would have done without the extra time.
6. Technical Qualities
Tells you what the
magazine includes
There is a model set
as the main image
Lists the types of games the
magazine tells you about
Uses a Dark
color scheme
Uses a Light
color scheme
Bold title
Uses different
fonts
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I am happy with how my work looks. The best
parts of my work are the different logos I used to
advertise the different table top games.
I would improve my work by adding more table
top games to the list on the magazine cover as
well as the title.
I think the weaknesses of my work is the way I
have shown the main focus of the magazine
cover.
8. Audience Appeal
I have appealed to my target
audience by including the
different logos of a few table
top games like Warhammer
40K which helps it appeal to
people who like table top
games. The specific bits that
would appeal to my target
audience would be the
different table top games that
are shown on the cover as
well as it showing a new set
release for Warhammer 40k.
