2. I have aimed my media magazine at 20-35 year old
like ‘Q’ music magazine. I have had to think about
what the age range would like and then put it into a
front cover, contents and double page spread. My
theme through-out has been classy and
sophisticated. My research before was on other
magazines such as ‘top of the pop’ and ‘Q’. My front
cover photo represent a classy new artist. She is
wearing a skirt and a sophisticated top which gives
out the impression she is professional. As she is a
young adult it ties in with my target audience, in all of
her photos I have represented her as a sophisticated
model as all of her clothes are respectable. I have
also written my articles about similar artist that will be
in the same age range of my target audience. For
example I have added in Jessie J, One Direction and
Taylor Swift. They are all very well respected artist
and are what my target audience will listen too.
I have also written about music and
story's that would be relatable to young
adults and teenagers. When you look at
my contents compared to my front cover
she is posed more relaxed, I have
positioned her more in the front cover as
I wanted a full body shot. But in the
contents she is more relaxed and posing
how she wants. My price of the
magazine is £2.99 this Is an average
price compared to others I have looked
at therefore should be easily affordable
for young adult/teenagers.
3. I have followed the styles of these artists with my
model as they are all made up a certain way, for
example they all wear bold makeup and have very
different colour hair. Magazines use artists like this as
younger adults and teenagers look up to them and
follow there trends and styles for example dip dying
the hair and very bold colours in the hair. Men are
also allured by photos like this as the models look
seductive. This is why in many of the cover photos
the artists are wearing low cut dresses and seductive
makeup. For example Cheryl Cole she is seductively
licking a metal ring and is wearing a low cut jacket.
