2. My target audience is very
similar to that of ‘NME’,
there target audience is the
ages of 16-21 also. In my
magazine I focus on the
music artists that feature in
the main article. This is very
similar to ‘NME’ as they also
do this with the front cover
image and large font on the
front over.
3. Representation of the males
The images that I chose
were showing the solo male
and this is very common in
the ‘indie/pop’ genre. The
male is well dressed which
follows the new style for
male musicians.
The picture shows the
model not smiling but
coming across as
mysterious, this typically
attracts the females,
therefore they may buy the
magazine based on the
males pose and fashion
sense.
4. Representation of Teenagers
The picture I have taken here is
representing teenagers in the normal way.
The male teenager has ‘moody’ look on his
face which is the general conception of
teenagers in modern society.
The trainers and fashion sense of the
model is typical of a teenager because
teenagers are renowned for wearing
trainers shoes and hooded coats. Whereas,
I tried steering away from these
stereotypes by having the model dressed in
a smart buttoned up shirt. This buttoned
up shirt is common fashion within the
teenagers.
5. The location of where the model is
for the photo shoot. The dark
lighting that he is posing in,
connotes a sort of underground
style. The crates behind the model
that he is resting on are very
typical of the teenagers, as they
like to hang around outside in
unknown places. I have tried to
highlight this stereotype by using
this as my image setting
