The Edexcel Level 1/Level 2 GCSE (9–1) in Chinese (spoken Mandarin/spoken Cantonese) allows students to develop their ability to communicate with Chinese native speakers in both speech and writing. Students will study across a variety of contexts relevant to their age and interests and will also develop a greater awareness of the culture of Chinese-speaking communities and countries. These contexts are listed under Themes and topics.
By referring Edexcel and HSK 1-2 (version 2009 and the latest version 2021) Syllabus, we edited a series of Chinese Vocabulary for those who are studying Chinese or preparing international examinations, such as IB, SAT, AP, IGCSE, GCSE Chinese.

Preface 2021 HSK Chinese New Standards for
International Chinese Language Education
The HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) is an international standardized
exam that tests and rates Chinese language proficiency. It assesses non-
native Chinese speakers’ abilities in using the Chinese language in their
daily, academic and professional lives. HSK consists of six levels in
version 2009.

In 2009, the HSK test level was changed from 3 classes, 11 levels to
New HSK Level 6. Remove some of the highest levels, cancel the
original levels 7 to 9, and change the original level one to New HSK 1-
3, and give a fine-sounding name of give candidates a touchable goal.
According to the current HSK Level 6 standard, it states that foreign
students can cope with the study of Chinese universities with HSK 6. I
can only pray for the educational quality of Chinese universities. The
original 3 classes and 11 levels shouldn't be shrunk and devalue itself to
fool around foreigners! Now overhaul thoroughly, it has become a ninth
levels again! I don’t know how many foreigners have to recite the
Three-Character Sutra in this authentic exam!
version 2009.

plaza is the site of Mao Zedong’s mausoleum and the National Museum of China,
displaying a vast collection of cultural relics. Area: 16,411 km; Population: 21.54
