CIE IGCSE Chinese (0547) is based examination similar to GCSE and is recognized in the UK as being equivalent to the GCSE for the purposes of recognizing prior attainment. The HSK Speaking Test (Beginner Level) is comprised of three parts, containing
27 items in total. The duration of the test is about 17 minutes (including 7
minutes for preparation).
There are 15 items in Part I. For each item, a sentence recording will be played.
The test takers should repeat the sentence. The duration of this part is 4 minutes.
There are 10 items in Part II. For each item, the recording of a question will be
played. The test takers should provide a brief answer. The duration of this part is
3 minutes.
