Procedures
I am going to greet my students and make a lovely comment about what a pleasure it is
to share classes together.
“Hello everyone!!! how are you today? It is a pleasure to meet you.”
This week we will continue working with jobs and professions.
“Children, now, we are going to interpret the sentences you have in this photocopy
together; we will find the job being talked about and correctly place the image that
belongs to it, as well as the articles "a/an.
Students are going to read and interpret simple sentences that describe different jobs;
this will allow them to understand sentences in context, relate job-image and, increase
vocabulary and apply the use of the articles "a-an”.

First, we are going to order the sentences, then we will convert them to negative (as we
learned in the previous class) and finally to interrogative. Well, pay attention to the
example".
Students must first order the sentences, then convert them to negative (as we learned
in the previous class) and interrogative.
For example: chef / a / is / She / .
She is a chef. / She isn’t a chef / Is she a chef?

understand the text by answering questions, and then we will mark what we have
learned.”
Laila’s family
Hi! My name is Laila, and I am 10 years old. I live with my mum, my dad,
and my sister. My mum is a doctor. It is a challenging job. She saves
people’s lives!
My dad is a nurse; he works at the same hospital as my mum. He helps
doctors operate the patients. My mum and he make a great team!
My sister is older than me; she is 20 years old. She is studying at
university to become a veterinarian. It’s a bit like my parent’s jobs but with
animals.
My grandfather on my mum’s side was a dentist: he was also a doctor but
for people’s teeth.
"Now we are going to answer the following questions:
Who is a doctor?
Who is studying to be a veterinarian?
Who was a dentist?
who is a nurse?
"Children, let's highlight the following in the text: "
Red colour: pronouns
Green colour: members family
Blue colour: Jobs
Yellow colour: verbo to be.
Activity 2:
“Very good guys!! You were working a lot” Now, we are going to have a little fun!! We
will do a word search and learn new words."
Here students must first look for the words on the list, then complete the images.
Finally, they must classify the words if they are: jobs, places, or verbs.
5. Jobs Places Verbs

“To end the class, we are going to use the word search question "What do you want to
be?" You are going to answer this question and tell me: why?
