This document provides a lesson plan for a class on places in town for elementary level English students. The plan includes 6 students, a 80 minute class, and focuses on recognizing sentences, understanding texts, incorporating prepositions, and developing writing, speaking, and listening skills. Key vocabulary includes jobs, places in town, and prepositions. Students will watch a video on places in town, complete activities identifying true/false sentences about place locations and asking/answering questions using a map, and draw a map of their neighborhood as homework. The goal is for students to describe places and locations using prepositions.

Procedures
I am going to greet my students and make a lovely comment about what a pleasure it is
to share classes together.
“Hello everyone!!! how are you today? It is a pleasure to meet you.”
“Today we are going to continue working on the places in our town, are you ready?”
“Well, look at these images: Do you recognize what these words are? Do you know
when to use them? Do you know how to pronounce them?”
“Listen children, we commonly use prepositions to show a relationship in space or time
between two or more people, places or things.”
The teacher will place images of main common prepositions on the board and ask them
questions about them. This is how we will start working on our new information. Then
we will practice the pronunciation of each one and we will tell the students to copy the
drawings and words into their notebooks.
3. “Excellent children!! "Now we are going to watch a video, for this I want you to pay close
attention and listen mainly to the prepositions used and the places.”
Students will watch a video. Here they should take notes of the named places and
prepositions since we will work on them later.

After watching the video, the teacher will ask them to make a list of the places and
prepositions that are in the town and those that are not, then we will correct them orally
to verify that they have written all the places.
At the end of the oral pronunciation review and add the new words to their glossary.
Finally, the teacher will give them some cards where they will complete the dialogue
with the missing words.
4. Activity 1:
" Well guys, now we are going to continue to work with places and prepositions. In this
case, we are going to observe the location of various places on a map, for this we are
going to use the prepositions learned previously”!
“Then pay attention!!! and choose if the sentences are true (yes) or false (no), if they
are false, we will correct them so that they are correct.”
Students must look at the map, then interpret the sentences indicating whether they are
true or false. To finish, they will correct the false ones and then they will make one more
sentence with each place.
5. Activity 2:
“Very good guys!! You were working a lot. Now you will have a map which you must
observe and ask location questions and then answer using prepositions.”
The teacher will give them a map of a town and the students must observe, ask the
question, and then respond using prepositions. For example: Where is the hospital?
The hospital is in front of the barber.
At the end, each student will try to read their sentences.
6. To finish, the teacher will ask them as homework to draw up a map showing their
houses and the places that surround them. For example: shops, park, etc.
“Very good guys, today we have worked and learned, now for homework I am going to
ask you to draw a plan of your houses with the nearby blocks marking the most
important places, for example: warehouse, park, etc.”
