Procedures
I am going to greet my students and make a lovely comment about what a pleasure it is
to share classes together.
“Hello everyone!!! how are you today? It is a pleasure to meet you.”
“Today we are going to learn a new topic, are you ready?”
“Well, look at these images: do you recognize these places? Do you know how to
pronounce them? do we have them here?”
The teacher will place images of different places on the board and ask them questions
about them. This is how we will start working on our new theme.
3. “Excellent children!! "Now we are going to watch a video, for this I want you to pay close
attention and write down in your notebooks the places that are named, then we will
work on these.”
Students will watch a video. Here they should take notes of the named places since we
will work on them later.
Before watching the video, the teacher will put them in context: she will explain that they
are going to watch a video where Hannah will show the most characteristic places of
Winchester in the UK “In Town in English” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-
ZSU11oFyKQ
After watching the video, the teacher will ask them to make a list of the places that are
in the town and those that are not, then we will correct them orally to verify that they
have written all the places.
At the end of the oral pronunciation review and add the new words to their glossary.
Activity 1:
"Well children, now you are going to find the places hidden behind the disordered letters
and the image that corresponds to each one”.
Students must sort and find the words corresponding to places, then they must find the
image that represents it.
Students will look for and add new words that they do not recognize to their glossary.
4. Activity 2:
“Very good guys!! You were working a lot”. It’s time for our moment of recreation, let's
look for the words in the word search. At the end, we will look up the words we don't
know and add them to our glossary. Then we will make a sentence comparing their
town with Winchester.
Students will look for the indicated words in the word search, then make sentences with
each one.
For example: The money is in the bank.
5. To finish, we will talk about everything we learned, and the teacher will ask you, did you
like everything you learned? What place is your favorite? What place would you like to
have in your town?
