Aims or goals:
During this lesson students will be able to recognize the use of
the interrogative form of the verb Have got and some parts of the
face and the body. They’ll learn how to name each of them
applying the correct pronunciation of the new vocabulary.
Learners will make use of their listening comprehension skills
when they listen to the teacher and their peers. They’ll also put
into practice their speaking skills, when they interact with their
peers, when they have to produce orally sentences in one of the
activities, and when they all read together the answers of the
activities in order to check them.
Learners will put into practice their background knowledge when
they recognize the famous people, who will help to create the
context in which they’ll learn the interrogative form of verb Have
got and some parts of the face and the body.
Regarding the multiple intelligences by Spratt et al,2005. They’ll
use the visual (they’ll learn through seeing pictures and posters)
and the auditory (they’ll learn through hearing the teacher)

approach- PPP method.
Integration of skills: What skills will be integrated and how? The skills that will be
integrated during this lesson are reading( they’ll read the posters on the board and
their activities) writing ( they’ll write down the vocabulary worked in class and they’ll
also write questions in one of the activities) , listening ( they’ll put into practice their
listening skills when they listen to the teacher and their peers)and the speaking skill
(they’ll produce sentences orally when they interact with their peers and the teacher
in the closure activity).
Materialsandresources: pictures, a poster, sticking tape, photocopies, marker, board.
Pedagogical use of ICT in class or at home: ( I won’t use ICT this time.)
Seating arrangement: They’ll be sitting in pairs.
Possibleproblems/ difficultiesandtheir possiblesolutionsduring theclass: Students
may get distracted talking aboutthe famouspeople. In this case, I’ll tell them (in a kind
manner) thatthen they can talk aboutthem later, but now they have to pay attention
in order to learn.
Potential problemsstudents may have with the language: Students may have
problemsproducing the word Dark, they’ll tend to pronounceitwith ‘r’. So, I’llexplain
to them that the correct pronunciation is/dɑːk/,ɑː is like a long ‘a’.
Assessment: I’ll teach students using pictures and a poster. I’ll check if students
understand or not by observing them and asking them Is it clear? (I’llputmy finger up)
or not? (I’ll put my finger down) Do you understand?

Teacher: Well, look at this poster. Here, we have the different parts of the face and on
this picture some parts of the body.

Teacher: Here we have examples of how to make the different questions according to
the different personal pronouns.
Teacher: As I said the last class, the verb Have got indicates that someone possesses
something. So, when I formulate the question I’ll ask if somebody or something
possess something.
For example, in the first question we have here, on the poster… `Have I got brown
eyes?’ It’s the same that saying Do I possess brown eyes? And which is the answer …
‘yes, I have’ or ‘no, I haven’t.’
Students: No, I haven’t.
Teacher: Great!! (And I ‘ll underline the correct answer on the poster)
Teacher: Do you understand?

Activity 1: 3’
Teacher: Open, your book on page32. You have to do exercise 3. You have to label the
parts of the face, you have to write the words hair, eyes, mouth, ears and nose in the
correct place.
Teacher: Now, we’re going to check it… In number 1 you wrote…

Teacher: well done! (I’ll write on the board 1) hair)

Teacher: Now, you have to do exercise 4 from page 33. This is similar to exercise 3.
Here, you have to label the parts of the body, with the words: leg, arm, head, hand,
foot, finger.
9. Teacher: Now, we’re going to check it… In number 1 you wrote…

Teacher: Now, you have to do exercise 5. You have to complete the questions with
have…got?/ Has… got?/ What …have?/What … has? And you also have to complete
some short answers.
10. Closure: 7’
Teacher: Now, you’re going to do an oral activity. You’ll be divided into two groups,
group A (14 students) and group B (14 students).
Teacher: I’ll stick different pictures of famous people on the board. So, group A will
make a question about the picture to group B, and group B will answer it. Then, the
other way about.
Example:
Group A: What colour eyes has she got?
Group B: She has got brown eyes.
(They’ll work with 6 pictures in total, 3 pictures each group. )
Homework: 4’
Teacher: For homework, you have to do all the exercises from page 79, except
exercise 6.(I will explain students each exercise)
