Title
I will have my title at the top of the page to ensure it is the first text seen. I will also do
this by making the text in the title significantly larger than any other text on the poster.
This will allow me too push across the significance of the title. By doing this I hope it
will increase recognition for the title so that it becomes iconic and when the viewer
see’s it they instantly think of the film.
I will have my antagonist as the central focus of the poster. I will do this
by making the image of him large so that it consumes the poster. I will do
this so attention is instantly drawn to him. By doing this I hope I will
increase recognition for the antagonist so that he becomes iconic and
immediately related with the film. This is important because my audience
feedback suggested that the antagonist as the main branding is effective
and what they prefer.
Mask:
I will depict the
antagonist with a
mask to make the
antagonist seem
mysterious. I hope by
creating mystery on
my poster, it will in
turn make the film
more compelling as it
will suggest there are
things the audience
don’t know. Also, this
will meet the generic
conventions of horror
films as it is a
common to have the
antagonist depicted
with a mask on.

Contents
I will have my contents featured on my poster because it is a very common
generic convention of a horror film poster. Therefore, by meeting the generic
conventions of a horror film poster I am conveying to the audience that the film
isn’t controversial and will be similar to what they expect from a horror film.
Slogan
I will have a slogan on my poster to tease the central plot of the film to the
audience. By doing this I will leave the audience needing answers, which
will make them more compelled to watch the film because they will wont to
know what happens in the film. I will have the slogan in the same text and
colour as my title to keep consistency in my marketing so that the text and
colour’s become iconic and connected with the film.
