1. How effective is the combination of
your main product and ancillary
tasks?

2. For my Ancillary tasks I had to create a film poster
and a magazine front cover. The aims of both of
these are to advertise my main product and to
“attract” the audience’s attention to get them to
buy my product if I was selling it. Both of these
products have aims to advertise and promote the
film trailer. there for it is important that I capture
and present the image that I want for both the film
poster and the magazine front cover.

3. These are my style models I used for both
my film poster and movie magazine.

4. Conventions of a movie poster
I have used a black and white picture of my three
main actors pulling funny faces, this is so its easily
recognized and can be linked to the film trailer as you
also see the same actors pulling similar faces at the
beginning.
Black bold font in the style of chalk board
writing represents the idea of them in high
school, it also looks effective as it stands
out against the white background.

5. Conventions of a movie magazine
I noticed that on most film
magazines there is one main
image which represents the
magazine headline. This
usually takes up the whole
page and automatically tells
the audience what's inside
the magazine.
The masthead is usually
located at the top of the
magazine in a larger bold
text than the rest of the
text on the magazine. the
font and size is very
important as it can be
used to draw attention to
particular areas of your
magazine.
Banner lines are frequently used on all magazines. These are
to give the readers and insight of the stories inside the
magazine.
My style models all stuck to
a certain colour scheme
which makes the magazine
look less crowded and
easier to read.

6. Movie images
My film trailer fits well together with my film poster and my
music magazine as there are similar features on each product.
On my film trailer I use the words best friends with my three
actors in the background as this links to my movie poster. There
is also moments in my film trailer where my three actresses pull
funny faces which also relates to the picture on my movie
poster.
