1. How effective is the combination of
your main product and ancillary
tasks?
2. The main aim of the project was to create a
film trailer with a matching poster and
film magazine front cover.
After creating all three of my media products
(film trailer, film poster and film magazine
front cover) I feel that they all work together
effectively to promote the same film and
certain similarities can be seen through out the
body of my work.
3. I believe that the audience can clearly recognize the
link between all three products.
I feel that my trailer and poster are very consistent in
comparison with each other with the house style and
the imagery.
4. With the magazine front cover I was
influenced by
the popular film
magazine Empire,
Although I have still tried to make my magazine
look like it has a synergy with my other products.
5. I have used bright colors throughout my filming
I have matched this by using a
bold red color for my movie poster, this is to keep
the element of fun within my work
along with making it eye catching and interesting to
look at.
6. In my movie magazine front cover I have asked my actors to
dress in a ‘mainstream’ way this is so that what they are
wearing appeals to a wide range of people,
I have asked Helen to wear typical red carpet makeup such as
dark eyes and red lips,
this gives the illusion that they are at a premiere or other
social event.
I have asked Michael to dress in a more informal way to
suggest that he is an easy going character and make him
appear relatable to my target audience.
7. also I have used the same font when ever I am
mentioning my film title GEEK
8. I have researched into the different
conventions of both a movie poster and a film
trailer, by following these conventions I feel
that my media products look like genuine
artifacts, and work effectively with my main
task.

10. Conventions of a Movie magazine
front cover
The masthead is located at the
top of the magazine on most film
magazines. The text usually used
for the masthead on film
magazines is a lot bigger than all
of the other text on the
page, this is done so it stands out
a lot more to the audience so it is
easily
Main image, usually
there is one large image
taking up most of the
page, this automatically
tells the audience what
the main article will be
about.
By having a barcode
it makes my
product look more
genuine
By involving new
social media it
makes my
product more
relevant.
