I have used an image with
models of my typical target
audience.
 Teenagers between 15-
18
 Both genders
 Students, expiring to be
a pop band
 From a working class
family
Stereotypical to other pop
music magazines as both use
bright colours, happy positive
people in image. Focused on
the people in the image.
To make my image represent
my social group I have used
certain technical features
which include:
 Location- inside on a plain
background, to give a
more professional look.
 Mise-en-scene (outfits,
makeup, body language,
colour and lighting)-
simple clothes with some
bright colours, close
together to show they
are all friends, looking at
the camera to interact
with the audience.
 Shot type – Wide shot.
 Camera angle- Eye level.

For the contents page I
use slightly different
images to represent my
social group.
 Ages within my target
audience.
 Both female as more
of my target
audience is
female, plus the
features they both
link to are more
female oriented.
 Shot type- Medium
close-up.
 They both look like
my stereotypical
audience.
I did this because:
 It appeals to my target audience
 To satisfy the producer
 To show the pop genre
 So the magazine will sell
 It makes my magazine look like other
stereotypical pop magazines
 It shows that the magazine is for my target
age group.
