• This is an easy one for me as I am the perfect example of my
target audience. This being “Metalheads”, those who follow
and listen to the Genre of Metal and it’s many subgenres.
• Often looked down upon Metalheads are generally some of
the nicest people around once you get past their
appearance. For example here’s a photo of me (very
stereotypical Metalhead):
• I have a very stereotypical Metalhead appearance,
long hair, beard, dark clothing, band shirts. These are the
general things you’ll see in the majority of Metalheads.
• Their is no real age limit or gender within the genre, of
course typically it is seen as male only but this is untrue.
Metal has no boundaries and is open to anyone who
enjoys it, you either love it, or you hate it.
• We range from the lowest of class all the the way to the highest. Their
are no limits in Metal, anyone can enjoy it.
• A typical Metalhead spends their money on basic living (essentials),
band shirts, vinyl/CD/digital music and tickets to festivals and gigs.
• Can live anywhere from your typical terraced council houses to
large country farmhouses. If they live at home their room would
usually be decorated with band posters/flags, and possible music
equipment, guitar/bass or even drums.
• Of course this varies from Metalhead to Metalhead, so I’ve
composed a list of bands that I think are the common
selection:
• Slayer
• Anthrax
• Metallica
• Megadeth
• Dio
• Lamb Of God
• Decapitated
• Behemoth
• Gorgoroth
• System Of A Down
• Judas Priest
• Iron Maiden
• Pantera
and countless
others..

• Nearly all Metalheads will be interested or will currently play an instrument
used within the genre, typically Guitar, Bass or Drums.
• Seeing local gigs and huge festivals is usually done so often it
becomes a hobby. Seeing a band live is a completely different
experience to listening to an album.
• Though Metalheads are seen as very different people, they’re just
like anyone else, with a huge variety of interests. I myself am an
Amateur Photographer and Musician, I also ride BMX in my spare time.
