ASSURE: Day two
Assure Method
Day Two:
Analyze the Learner:
This is a third grade classroom in the third month at the time. There are eight boys and
ten girls.Seventy percent of this classroom is white and thirty percent are African-
American. The socio-economic status of this classroom comes from a middle class
family.
State Objectives:
Audience: Teaching the process of manufacturing raw materials to a final product to a
third grade classroom made up of eight boys and ten girls. Seventy percent of this
classroom is white and thirty percent are African-American.
Behavior: My students will develop and demonstrate the Labor use (tools, machines,
chemical and biological processing, and formulation.)
Conditions: By:
1.) Watching YouTube videos about manufacturing and what kinds of machinery is
used, to make what.
2.) Watching a Voki and creating their own
3.) Scanning QR to find out more information on how materials are manufactured
Degree: With 95-100% accuracy my students will understand the concept of labor and
machinery in factories.
Select Methods, Media, and Materials:
2. Incorporating the different learning styles of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic I will
provide three different methods. These methods would be, make the material visual for
visual learners (YouTube), audio (Voki), and kinesthetic (QR).
The medias I would implement in this day would be the voki website, the QR website,
and YouTube.
Utilize Media and Materials:
I would have videos and both voki and QR websites ready for when the students come
in that day. The students are only engaged when the teacher is prepared and ready to
deliver the message. I would follow the 5 Ps.
Evaluate and Revise:
Never wait till the end of the unit to evaluate because then you won’t be able to revise. I
would ask critical thinking questions during the unit to make sure I am on track. It is also
important to bring the class together and talk as a class to make sure everyone is on
point during the week. If a child is not on target with the degree of accuracy I would
make a modified version of the tools to bring the child up on level.
