ASSURE: Day five
Assure Method
Day Five:
Analyze the Learner:
This is a third grade classroom in the third month at the time. There are eight boys and
ten girls.Seventy percent of this classroom is white and thirty percent are African-
American. The socio-economic status of this classroom comes from a middle class
family.
State Objectives:
Audience: Teaching the process of manufacturing raw materials to a final product to a
third grade classroom made up of eight boys and ten girls. Seventy percent of this
classroom is white and thirty percent are African-American.
Behavior: My students will develop and demonstrate what happens to the finished
product.
Conditions: By:
1.) Using desktop publishing to publish the final product
2.) Experimenting with digital imaging to make a photo out of many photos dealing with
manufacturing.
3.) Assure method to make sure everything is covered for every type of learner.
Degree: With 95-100% accuracy my students will understand the concept of what
happens to the finished product.
Select Methods, Media, and Materials:
2. Incorporating the different learning styles of visual and auditory I will provide two
different methods. These methods would be, make the material visual for visual learners
(desktop publishing and ASSURE) and kinesthetic (digital imagining).
The medias I would implement would be assure method, digital imagining , and desktop
publishing.
Utilize Media and Materials:
I would have all instructional tools ready for when the students arrive at school that day.
The students are only engaged when the teacher is prepared and ready to deliver the
message. I would follow the 5 Ps.
Evaluate and Revise:
Never wait till the end of the unit to evaluate because then you won’t be able to revise. I
would ask critical thinking questions during the unit to make sure I am on track. It is also
important to bring the class together and talk as a class to make sure everyone is on
point during the week. If a child is not on target with the degree of accuracy I would
make a modified version of the tools to bring the child up on level.
