Assure Method- Day 3
1. A- Analyze Learner:
 I will be teaching a Second Grade classroom with twenty students.
Twelve of those students will be girls and eight will be boys. They will
be from low-income families, three students are Hispanic, and two
students have mild ADD.
2. S- State Objective:
 My students will be able to differentiate and describe the different
types of growth by many uses of technology and class discussion
within five days with 95% accuracy.
3. S- Select Methods, Media, and Materials:
 In order for my students to learn this Unit Plan, I will incorporate
many learning styles to help them accomplish the task.
o Voki: A Voki will be used as an Activating Strategy to stimulate
the students to remember what they have learned the past two
days, and help them to be prepared for the day’s lesson.
o Video: A video will be shown about physical growth.
o Introduce Web 2.0 Assignment: They will be discussing their
Web 2.0 assignment.
o Twitter: Twitter will be used to remind the students of their
Web 2.0 assignment, as well as a tweet that they must respond
to. Twitter will be used as their assessment for the day.
4. U- Utilize the Media and Materials:
 Before class, I will pull up the Voki on the Internet and the video for
the students to watch. The Web 2.0 assignment will only be discussed.
And Twitter will be used outside of the classroom.
5. R- Require Student Participation
 Each day I will be teaching on Physical, and Cognitive Development.
Every technology used will talk about development in a certain way.
Some technologies will require student participation because they will
be used for assessments. I will start the class by showing the Voki. The
Voki will ask the students a question that they will need to discuss
amongst the class and answer. This will be their Activating Strategy. I
will then discuss what stage of development Children are in. They will
differentiate between the three different types of development that
have already been discussed. Next, they will watch a video about
development. It tells a story and helps the students understand
development better. I will then tell them about their Web 2.0
assignment. The students will go around and take pictures of different
ages of people. They will post them on Instagram with the age of the
person. They must have at least one person per stage of development.
This assignment will be due on Day 5. Next, I will tell them about
Twitter. I will post on Twitter to remind them to do their Web 2.0
assignment.
6. E- Evaluate and Revise
 Students will be evaluated by their answers to discussion questions
for the day. The Web 2.0 assessment will be on Day 5. This will be an
easier day for the students. However, they will have a great time
finding pictures of different age groups of people in their lives. I will
be listening to them as they discuss the question from the Voki and
their thoughts on the video that will be shown.

The Web 2.0 assessment will be on Day 5. This will be an easier day for the students. However, they will have a great time finding pictures of different age groups of people in their lives. I will be listening to them as they discuss the question from the Voki and their thoughts on the video that will be shown.
