ASSURE: Day four
Assure Method
Day Four:
Analyze the Learner:
This is a third grade classroom in the third month at the time. There are eight boys and
ten girls.Seventy percent of this classroom is white and thirty percent are African-
American. The socio-economic status of this classroom comes from a middle class
family.
State Objectives:
Audience: Teaching the process of manufacturing raw materials to a final product to a
third grade classroom made up of eight boys and ten girls. Seventy percent of this
classroom is white and thirty percent are African-American.
Behavior: My students will develop and demonstrate how the products are made.
Condition: By:
1.) Using Facebook to comment on different forms of videos and posts
2.) Adventuring through a WebQuest
3.) Following people on Twitter from “How it’s Made” to understand how it is made.
Degree: With 95-100% accuracy my students will understand the concept of how
products are actually made.
Select Methods, Media, and Materials:
Incorporating the different learning styles of visual and kinesthetic I will provide two
different methods. These methods would be, make the material visual for visual learners
(Facebook) and a kinesthetic learner (WebQuests).
The medias I would implement would be Facebook and WeQuest websites.
Utilize Media and Materials:
I would have the Facebook already made and I would have the WebQuest ready on the
computer for the students to access. The students are only engaged when the teacher
is prepared and ready to deliver the message. I would follow the 5 Ps.
Evaluate and Revise:
Never wait till the end of the unit to evaluate because then you won’t be able to revise. I
would ask critical thinking questions during the unit to make sure I am on track. It is also
important to bring the class together and talk as a class to make sure everyone is on
point during the week. If a child is not on target with the degree of accuracy I would
make a modified version of the tools to bring the child up on level.
