The document describes 4 experiments conducted by Tegan Arthur to prepare for an FMP project involving creating a brochure with car graphic templates. Experiment 1 involved designing templates in CorelDraw and ensuring proper sizing for the brochure. Experiment 2 used Photoshop to test different color combinations on a car. 2. EXPERIMENT 1
When creating this experiment I used a software called corel draw to
help design the template and also the design on the template. I plan to
use templates similar to this experiment within my brochure. This is
because I want to show the before and after design within the
brochure which will help my target audience get a better
understanding and also to enable them to imagine what their car could
look like with that type of design shown within the template.
However when trying to create these templates for my brochure I
need to make sure that the sizing of each template are similar and fit
within the size of my brochure. This could bring up a potential issue,
such as measurements could be wrong and nothing fits within the
brochure or it looks too crammed. So I need to make sure my
measurement for the layout of the brochure and the templates are the
correct size.

3. EXPERIMENT 2
When preparing for my FMP I did a few experiments with
changing the colour on this particular car. This was so I could
get a better understanding on what types of colours went well
together when thinking about creating the designs.
To do this experiment I used the software photoshop. I
specifically used photoshop as I have used the software
before, and I am used to using the tools within the software.
So when considering creating my brochure I am leaning
towards using this software as this is a software that I am
comfortable with using.

4. EXPERIMENT 3
To help me get a better understanding and making sure I got the
templates the right size, I practised drawing the rear of the car. This
was to help get a rough idea on how precise each of the lines
within the template have to be as one mistake can affect the full
template.
When considering creating templates for my brochure I plan to
draw them. This is so that I can use them as a rough guide so that
when I come to use photoshop or another software that’s similar I
can make some adjustments. I can also maybe use images of
templates from google as a reference to help me get everything the
right size.

5. EXPERIMENT 4
When doing this experiment I was only messing around
by changing one specific colour on the car. I then added
a picture on the vehicle, but I tried to do it within the
new colour scheme which was purple. When doing this I
used an app on my IPad which was Ibispaint x. The
original image is at the top and the new design I did is
at the bottom.
Thinking about my project I might create a final design
but not just a template I might do a realistic final design
to help the audience get a better picture of what the
design would look like

6. EXPERIMENT REVIEW
Overall when trying to create this project I will try and include the mojority of things I did in my
experiments this is because I feel that some of the skills and software that were used within these
experiments will be useful.
I will also try and improve on some of these skills as these were just experiments and I want everthing in
my brochure to be at the best quality I could possible get it. This is because it is my final project of the year
and I will try and include all the skills ive learnt throughout the year to help make this project be at its best.
