Title: marking out my leaf & a bit of cutting
What did I do?
Today, I continued to create my project. When I first went
into the workshop, I took out my project from my box and
began to make another part of my project. Since I was finished with the base of my light support, I
started to make the leaf of my project. My plan to measure Picture 1: Picture of the layout of my leaf
and mark out the leaf was to enlarge the picture in the
computer in order to draw an outline easier on the wood.
However, since I had not enough time to get help from the
teacher, I had to actually draw it on the paper. I drew some
of the trials at first with ruler. However, since the leaf had
different angles and different length, it was difficult for me
to draw at the first time. When I followed the length that
was written on the orthographic drawing, it was too small to
be on my project. So, I had to fix some of the
measurements so that I could make that part fit into my

project. When I did for about 3 trials of drawing, I was able
the wood by using the paper layout
to cut the lines and draw an outline on the wood. Drawing
on a piece of paper at the first time really helped me to
draw the outline easier. When I was done with the drawing of the outline, I began to go into the stage of
cutting. During the cutting stage, I used the tenon saw and the pull saw to finish cutting. Since I didn't
have enough time for me to finish cutting, I had to finish during the cutting stage.
Changes in the plan <gantt chart>
There were some changes of my gantt chart. Because it
took quite a long time for me to finish measuring the leaf,
my plan of making the leaf base was quite late. I started to
begin making the leaf of my project today but it had to be
done on Monday. However, I was able to finish creating
the base by today, so I was able to catch up the plan for
my project.

2. Emotions
During this lesson, I felt very happy that I was able to finish measuring and marking out the leaf. By
using different kinds of method for measuring, I was very proud

From today’s lesson, I was able to finish measure and mark out the leaf of my project. I think I was a
thinker because I was able to draw on a paper and outline the same shape by cutting out it. By doing
this, I was able to draw an outline on the wood easily. What is more, I think the lesson that I had today
was related to human ingenuity because I was creating the leaf of my project.
