1. According to the information from chapter 1 and 2 Jews lived in so many countries because most of
Jews left Palestine after the Romans crushed their revolt in AD 70. They were all dispersed and
settled in many parts of Europe, Africa and Russia.
2. Before 1948, the immigrant of Jews were from morocco, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Iraq, Syria
turkey, Tunisia, western Europe, Poland, Hungary, and so on. Since they came from all different
countries I think they had some difficulties communicating with the others even though they are in
the same religion. Also, each country has different backgrounds with different eating style and life
style. This may had a great impact on them due to the fact that they don’t have a lot in common.
3. From the second picture, I was able to see them having a smile on their face because from the past
until now, they didn’t have any chance to settle in Israel. They kept having fights with Arab. However,
from the victory of the war, Jews were able to have happy face.
4. I think they will have difficulties in communicating with other Jews and maybe separated into groups
of Jews that have similar styles of life.
