• Week 1 Day 1- I started by going through all off my photos and saving the
best ones . After I had selected the best photos I sent them across to the iMac
and started working on my front cover. I started by adding a title and then
messed around with different colours of fonts to see which would work best. I
also then added a drop shadow to see if it would work and then eventually came
to the decision that I would use the blue font with the blue drop shadow as I felt
like it worked the best with the colours in the photo.

• Week 1 Day 2- Now I had finalized my title it was time to add
the subheadings onto my front cover. I messed around with
different fonts making them different sizes until I finally came
to the decision as to which one worked.
Final subheading
I then started messing about with the sizing of the picture and
experimented with it trying to work out whether I should
keep the picture zoomed in or out. In the end I decided to
have the picture zoomed in as it centralises the model and
makes her the main focus point

• Week 1 Day 3 – I made the final touches by adding the rest
of the writing and the competition sticker to the right hand
side of the magazine. I messed around with the
fonts, changed the colours and then the size of the text to
show the hierarchy of the different words.

Week 2 Day 1- To start off my contents page I got the photos I wanted
to use and edited them to make the colours stand out even. I got rid of
all the dull colours and pulled all the brighter colours through
After I had edited my picture, I
made a start on my contents page
by adding the list of contents
down the right had side

• Week 2 Day 3 – After I had finalized the fonts I wanted to use, I finished by adding the
rest of my contents, designed a logo and added the photos. For the last touches I
rearrange the writing in the contents list so it is all symmetrical. Overall I was pretty
pleased how it turned out as it doesn’t look too over powering and really reflects the
urban theme I was going for.

• Week 3 Day 1- To start off my first double
page spread I interviewed Antony
Sibanda. After I had done my interview I
started arranging the page layout and
worked out where each picture and the
writing were going to go

• Week 3 Day 2- Once I had sorted out the positioning of where
the pictures and writing would go, I started trying out the
different fonts appropriate to that era. I am happy with how the
font the font works with the 90's theme and how the colours
pop and stand out on the page.

• Week 3 Day 3- I finalized my layout adding titles and
headers in different fonts and different colours to
ensure that they stood out. Overall I am very pleased
with how it reflects the 90's theme, is eye catching and
is easy to read.

•Week 4 Day 1 – I edited the photo to enhance the colour making the
sky bluer, darkened the background and brightened her clothes to
make them stand out and make them the main focus of the picture. I
then wrote the article about the cycle of fashion.

•Week 4 Day 2- I experimented with changing the shape of the
photograph I was using as I thought it would be more eye catching as
you flick through the magazine. However, I decided it only detracted
from the main focus of the clothes and didn’t show the background
which is essential for the whole look.

•Week 4 Day 3- I experimented with different fonts and decided on the one that I felt
matched the article best. Once that was done I played about with the layout making sure
there was one full page photograph and added a small circular photograph and page
decoration to the narrative to catch the eye and link it to the main photograph .
