2. This is my initial plan for my front page. I have drawn in boxes where I plan to have my masthead, image and text. Also, I have began to annotate with ideas for the text colour and style.
3. Here I have tried to expand on my design by actually drawing the text in – the text is pull quotes from articles that’ll be in the magazine. I’ve also added a tag line ‘your ultimate college guide’ and a masthead.
4. For my contents page I have drawn in my ideas and annotated it. I’ve decided that I am going to use Polaroid style images that relate to the features in the magazine. Behind the text I’m going to uses navy boxes to make it stand out. On this sketch I have also decided that I’m going to use the font ‘hand of Sean’.
5. I found these two magazines inspiring and decided to loosely base my own design on them. I think the first magazine would be appealing to students, the scrapbook style is really interesting and makes it look like something that would be worth reading. Whilst this magazine is not as visually engaging the layout is professional and the majority of the text is on the third left of the magazine which is one of the most important parts of a magazine cover.
6. These are images from my photo-shoot. The second one is my favourite so I am going to use this for the front cover. The other images will be used on the contents page.
