• The movie review is pretty short and only about 1 specific movie this is good so I
can get a good idea of what I am supposed to talk about for my movie, this does
not have any extra sounds or sound effects though which is a bit boring and
simple. The podcast is only one person and it is just a quick little talk which is
pretty effective when making a podcast because it is focused on the point. It is 2
minutes long which doesn’t bore the audience because they are not listening to it
for too long. There is no music in this channel though and maybe it could do with a
music intro at least to give it more of a sparkle.

• This podcast about a movie review includes lots of different things such as
– A trailer of a movie. This makes it so the audience have something else interesting
to listen to other than you and also so they can hear what it is you are talking
about.
– A talk between two people this gives a wider ranged opinion on the movie so they
are not listening to a biased opinion which happens if just one person talks.
– A little tune and voice over of the show at the beginning makes the podcast even
more interesting and unique in its own way and can sometime even become a
trend.
– Opinions this gives a wider ranged view on the movie so they are not listening to a
biased opinion which happens if just one person talks.
– New upcoming movies and TV shows, so you are not just talking about one specific
thing the whole time make it a bit more appealing by mentioning some other topic.
All of these add their own affect to the podcast and the audience in their own way. The
trailer fills up space and gives a preview to the movie review. However I will probably not be
able to include everything because it has to be 2-5 minutes and this one is about 18
minutes long.

• First a little tune is played at the beginning after the introduction and then there is
a voice over as a soft music backing track plays behind it, this really appeals to the
audience as it gives them something else to listen to other than just your voice
which would be boring and its relaxing. There is an interview in this podcast and
these are very interesting as you can get to know what others people s lives are
like and then you as a person can sometimes even relate to them. There is no
sound effects include in this podcast however I believe that this doesn’t need
them mainly because it is already good and works so well without them, to add
one it would just seem out of place.

• What common features do the researched
products have?
The common conventions of the podcasts which are repeated is the music in the
podcasts, they are all mostly relaxing tunes which are soothing to listen to as a backing
track. All of the podcasts do not include sound effects and if they did they would most
likely sound out of place. They are all about peoples opinions which is good but they
cant be to biased.
• What aspects of the research will you include
within your on work?
My existing products will be very helpful for when I make my final audio. I am going to
make a review about just one movie and I will include the trailer as half of the
podcast. I will also include a relaxing backing track behind my voice and a little tune
which plays not only at the beginning of the podcast but at the end as well.
