Things YOU look for in Thrillers
• People enjoy Thrillers mostly on the fact that they can be relatable to the
audience, surveys and interviews and done to see what most people have
experienced or what they can relate to. In interviews, they will ask a question
which has no relevance to what they are making, however this will then be
interpreted into the film to give a more relatable thriller for the audience, for
example, asking what their favourite food is, the answer they receive the most will
be embedded into the film.
• More women watch films at the cinema than men as women tend to go out in
groups of girls but men want to go with a girl as they want to show of sand make
their girlfriend think he is a strong man and brave which makes the men feel better
about themselves .
• Age is huge to thrillers as your target audience always comes down to the amount
of money you can make, teenagers don’t have bills to pay which means they have
more liquid money which is mostly spent watching new films .
• People of the age 50 and above like going to the cinema because life gets boring
when your classed as old, however films they grew up watching are always being
remade which they like to go and see to see how things have changed. When your
older you tend to have more money but bills have to be paid, however they have a
lot of money spare which film makers know and aim it at them.
How it affects our film.
• We have to make our film relatable, by using the most picked place they
want to visit as it will appeal to them.
• As more women go to the cinema we need to imply things women look for
in films however we need it to be fair so we need to imply things men look
for such as action, explosions and women.
• As more old people go to the cinema we also need to engage them more
as they have a lot of liquid money which could be earned by a film maker.
• Young people also have a lot of liquid money so things teenagers look out
for needs to be analysed and added to our film opening.
• Some religious people will have different view on openings and we dot
want to make that audience watch something else as its about money all
the time and the more people that watch it gives a film maker more
money.
• More women come to the cinema so we need to add a lot of fashion as
women are stereotypically in love with fashion and most of their life in to
do with fashion.
I'm going to ask these questions.
