This document presents an experimental analysis of a vertical axis wind turbine designed with a Darrieus configuration and NACA0018 airfoil blades. A prototype was fabricated and tested to evaluate its performance characteristics at varying wind speeds. Testing showed that the turbine started rotating at low wind speeds when fitted with a servomotor pitching mechanism. Power output increased with wind speed, reaching a maximum of around 50 watts at 14 m/s wind speed. The study concluded that the Darrieus turbine design is suitable for small-scale power generation applications when equipped with a variable pitch control system.
