This document presents a comparative study of the structural performance of a 10-story reinforced concrete building with different bracing systems and friction dampers under lateral loading. Various bracing systems studied include crossed, V-type, and eccentric bracing. The building is also analyzed with an X-bracing system along with friction dampers. Results show that the building with X-bracing and friction dampers experienced a 63% reduction in displacement and 70% reduction in story drift compared to the building with only X-bracing. Additionally, the base shear increased by 20% with the addition of friction dampers.
