Evaluation
In this task I used Photoshop to recreate the magazine. I chose Photoshop because I have
used it more than any other program that was given as an option for me. This would help
me to create it quicker and more effectively.
Tools
In this magazine recreation I used a lot of tools to make it look as close to the original
magazine as possible.Some of the tools consist of some that I have never used before. These
are the main tools I used to recreate the magazine;
This tool helped me select the text and adjust where I wanted it to go. This also
helped me to change the size and move things around.
This tool helped me crop my images so that I could use a part of the image I wanted and
then get rid of the other bit.
2. Tom Fearon
This tool was useful for removing all of the unwanted spots and wrinkles
to make me look more clean and attractive.
I used this tool to add text to the magazine. I could edit the text and
change the colour with this tool aswell.
During the recreation I used a few tools that I hadn’t used before. Some of those tools I
have used before consist of the tools shown above but one of the tools I had never used
before was the Lasso tool.
This helped me select a part of an image and drag it to different tabs on the
program.
Strengths
I think that one of the stongest aspects of my magazine is that it looks very much like the original. I
am very happy with the way the flames in the background look so much like the original flames. The
way that my magazine is layed out is also very well copied.
Weaknesses
I think that some of the weeknesses are that I could not find the same gun as the one on the original
and that I have no sunglasses on. Also what I am wearing is very unlike the magazine. Another thing
is the ‘miss me’. It is not the same text and the question mark is different.
Am I pleased with it?
Overall I am very pleased with my recreation. I think that it looks very much like the original and I
think that I have done a good job. There are a few minor things like my clothes and the gun but I am
very happy with it.

Does it look like the original cover?
As I said before I think that it looks very much like the original cover. There are a few things that
make it different to the cover but those are things I cannot improve.
What would I change or do differently if I was to do this again?
If I was to do this again I would have changed what I am wearing and the gun. I might of done a few
other things differently like the font of some of the text.
