need to become a Broadcast Journalist.
2. For the job you will need strong news awareness and experience of
radio production techniques. You must have the ability to work within a
team, as well as on your own. You will also need confidence on air to
report live for regional and network stations on major stories.
What they do:
Broadcast journalists research and present news stories and factual
programmes for television, radio and internet.
3. You will need A level grades BBB or above, an IB Diploma: 26 points,
GCSE English language and maths C or above or equivalent
qualifications.
To get these qualifications I would study A level media and English
Language at Ringwood Sixth Form. I could then go to Bournemouth
University and study Journalism. On this course I would study in a
professional working environment and also have close contact with
leading journalists such as John Simpson.
