2. Introduction
In order to see how gums are advertised I am going to look
at 5 Gum to get a clear picture on what aspects they use to
advertise their gum.
5 Gum was introduced to United States markets in March
2007, in Canada in January 2008, in Russia, Europe and
Australia in 2009 and in China, India, Italy, Israel,
Thailand, and Malaysia in 2010.
3. How Has Their Logo Changed?
Since 5 Gum were released their logo has not changed
but the colour changes according to the flavour of the
gum.
4. Target Audience
The way in which 5 Gum presents itself suggests that it
is aimed towards the younger generation. This is
suggested by the use of colour and choice of font. It
also suggests the gender of the audience which is more
suited towards the male gender.
5. Advertising
5 Gum is known for its adverts as they are very unique and
are completely different to other gum adverts.
The way in which they advertise it suggests that they want
to go away from the aspect of candy and want to make it
more sophisticated and fashionable.
6. Analysing Their Image
In the picture the main colour used is blue. This
immediately attracts the target audience of boys/men. The
blue colour also gives a sense of freshness which is the main
reason that people buy gum, suggesting why they are so
successful.
