3. Section A-
Overall our average score for our trailer came out as a 7 which is equal to
a “B” grade. I was very happy when we had worked out the average
score because it shows how our hard work has paid off.
We still had small changes to make but the focus group proved that our
intention of our trailer had almost been reached. However, the first focus
group screening we had no music and no editing and this really didn’t
help to push the narrative as well as we had hoped.
We knew adding the parallel music would be a time consuming process
as we needed our trailer perfect and finished as much as we could before
handing the trailer over to our “composer”. Every single clip needed to
match the music and the sound effects as best as they could be in order
to make the trailer as effective as we wanted it to be.

6. Section B- what changes did you make after
the focus group? How did you make the
changes and do you think they helped?
The changes we made after our focus group screening were primarily that we added
music. The reason that was one of the last things we done is because we were waiting for
our music to be made but in order for this process to begin we had to have our trailer
complete. Each sound effect would be lined up so after the music had been made there
was no way in which we would have been able to go back and move things. When the
music was complete this made our trailer look so much better the whole feel of the trailer
in which we wanted was reached.
The music really helped to push the narrative along and as a group we were very happy
with the way the trailer looked with the music. Another thing that we had to do in order to
help the trailer was put the clips in order to push the narrative as the clips were just placed
on and no effects were added but with the music and editing added on together I think this
really enhanced the effectiveness of our trailer.
7. Section C- How did the evaluation screening go ?
Are there any last minute changes that are
highlighted?
8. Section C-
After our final screening we aim to make some last minute changes. Some of the
audience felt the scream was too repetitive and it wasn’t as effective the second
time as the first time it gave off a jump scare but the second time it became boring.
This is a minor thing that is easy to change.
Another thing that was picked up on was the fact that the levels on audio and
dialogue could be messed around with, this is also something we are just able to do
on Adobe Premiere without having to re-film anything.
For our Evaluation Screening we received an average score of 8 which is an A which
as a group we were very happy with and we only had minor changes to make in
order to make the effective trailer that we had been pushing towards.
