2. Park
I have decided I will be filing at the park, as I think this will ralate well with my
narrative and character. As my character is a yound adolescent, the park reflects
innocent, however the fact the park is empty suggests that the character is growing
beyond his youth; this should also be relatable for my chosen target audience.
Secondly, if I film the park at the beginning of the narrative, it will be easier to depict
regression and the downward spiral, as the park usually is viewed as a peaceful
place.
3. Streets, House & Driveway
I want to have a suburban setting for my music video, to make the narrative
more realistic, as well as so my target audience can relate to the situation of the
character, therefore I will be including these areas in my video. The video follows
a personal journey, which can be projected if the character is in their personal
own environment. Whilst these shots will establish setting and help the audience
comprehend the situation of the character. This suburban and domestic
Setting is a common location in indie music
Videos.
4. Bedroom
Similarly to the last locations, I
have chosen this as a location as
this will make a more personal
connection between character
and audience. Also this will be
easier to film in as there is a
decent amount of space, a
window for natural light and
nothing to hinder filming or
photoshoots.
5. Plain wall
I will be using a plain wall for the
background of at least one of
my photoshoots. This is because
I don’t want the background to
subtract from the foreground.
This also requires minimal
equipment or traveling, so this
will be time effective and still
look professional, whilst being
very versatile.
