2. Cover recreation
I chose this album cover
because of the way that the
image in the center has been
edited to create a rigid, sliced
effect. Initially I took a photo
similar to the one that has
been used. Then edited this
by enhancing the contrast
and grain, and lifting the
brightness for a similar effect.
Then cropped the image
accordingly and finished by
finding a colour swatch ad
fonts that were as close as
possible to the existing cover,
using Word, as this was time
effective but still worked well
enough.
3. Cover recreation
I chose this album for my second
recreation, as I felt that the main
image was unique as it was working
with layering and silhouettes.
Initially, I took a portrait photo and
cropped out the subject, using
Photoshop. I then darkened the
brightness of the photograph and
found an image online of a
cityscape, as I felt this was similar
in regards to the lights, which I
layered underneath my initial
image. Finally, in Word, I added a
thick, black boarder to define the
image and attempted to match the
font and colour.
