Age group 9-10 years old
Time: 40+40 minutes (block lesson)
Resources- Materials:
Board, powerpoint, videos related to the
topic, numbers,worksheet of wheel
about‘Days‘,colored
pencils ,markers,scissors,glue
Recycledlanguage:What time is it?
What is the day today?
New language:
Sunday,Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday….
Sundayisat 10 o‘clock..
Objectives:
Pupils should be able to:
1. Revise telling the time
2. comprehend basic classroom language
3. follow the teachers instructions
4. cooperate with their pairs for the complete final
outcome
5. talk about the days,months and seasons
6. Learn an example of Agumented reality resources.
Time Procedure

PART -1
The lesson is a block and has two parts.
First of all the teacher shows a video which is a fragment of a movie
called ‘In Time ‘
Then he asks for telling the time by using a special clock both digital
and analog form
After that the teacher asks for counting the ‘Days ‘ and the students
watch the ‘Days Song ‘and sing it .

PART 1
Activities
Activity 1: Wheel of Days
To do more practice about The Time the students make ‘Wheel of
fortune ‘ .In this activity the students work in pairs ,cut the wheels
color and then write the days and related time expressions
Today ,Yesterday and Tomorrow.They should write the seven days of
the week.Afterwards they spin the wheel and ask questions each other
and answer them.
Activity 2: The Game ;Battleship
The teacher gives a paper to each student .On that paper there is a
chart on it.On the chart there are days and time.The student draw
battleships which consist of one,two,three and four squares.But they
shouldn’t show the location of the battleships to their partners.Then
they try to find battleships of their partners by saying ‘Tuesday is at
10 o’clock ‘etc.If they say a correct square ,the partner says ‘You
Hit’ ,if not ‘You Missed’ Who first hit all the battleships, wins the
game.
PART 2
Presentation
In the beginning the teacher talks about ‘School Subjects’
according to days .Then he shows the Mobile App ‘ Aurasma ‘ and
how to work it.
Activity 1: Filling the weekly schedule
A weekly schedule is given to each student and they fill in the
schedule with school subjects according to their own
programme.After finishing they are supposed to tell their programme
day by day.After that the teacher shows a nice song which is about
‘School Subjects ‘.They watch and sing it together.

Activity2:Learning Months and Seasons with an interactive video
The teacher first asks for the months .Then the students watch a song
video and sing it together.After that he shows seasons and open an
interactive song.In that song while watching it they should answer the
questions.
Evaluation:
This lesson planned with the interpersonal and cooperative concerns.
Teacher aims to promote meaningful communication around the
class. Teacher also aims to improve social skills, trust-building,
leadership, decision making, conflict management and team/group
soul. Teacher should be sure that competition is avoided among the
pupils. Evaluation is ongoing and takes place throughout the lesson
by observation of the pupils while they are involved in the activities.
The teacher notes the pupil’s progress and/or areas of concern soon
after the lesson.

LESSON PLAN Created by Mert BALLI UNIT: TIME SUBUNIT: Days,Months,Seasons Age group 9-10 years old Time: 40+40 minutes (block lesson) Resources- Materials: Board, powerpoint, videos related to the topic, numbers,worksheet of wheel about‘Days‘,colored pencils ,markers,scissors,glue Recycledlanguage:What time is it? What is the day today? New language: Sunday,Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday…. Sundayisat 10 o‘clock.. Objectives: Pupils should be able to: 1. Revise telling the time 2. comprehend basic classroom language 3. follow the teachers instructions 4. cooperate with their pairs for the complete final outcome 5. talk about the days,months and seasons 6. Learn an example of Agumented reality resources. Time Procedure 10’ Presentation PART -1 The lesson is a block and has two parts. First of all the teacher shows a video which is a fragment of a movie called ‘In Time ‘ Then he asks for telling the time by using a special clock both digital and analog form After that the teacher asks for counting the ‘Days ‘ and the students watch the ‘Days Song ‘and sing it .   • 2. 15’ 15’ 10’ 15’ PART 1 Activities Activity 1: Wheel of Days To do more practice about The Time the students make ‘Wheel of fortune ‘ .In this activity the students work in pairs ,cut the wheels color and then write the days and related time expressions Today ,Yesterday and Tomorrow.They should write the seven days of the week.Afterwards they spin the wheel and ask questions each other and answer them. Activity 2: The Game ;Battleship The teacher gives a paper to each student .On that paper there is a chart on it.On the chart there are days and time.The student draw battleships which consist of one,two,three and four squares.But they shouldn’t show the location of the battleships to their partners.Then they try to find battleships of their partners by saying ‘Tuesday is at 10 o’clock ‘etc.If they say a correct square ,the partner says ‘You Hit’ ,if not ‘You Missed’ Who first hit all the battleships, wins the game. PART 2 Presentation In the beginning the teacher talks about ‘School Subjects’ according to days .Then he shows the Mobile App ‘ Aurasma ‘ and how to work it. Activity 1: Filling the weekly schedule A weekly schedule is given to each student and they fill in the schedule with school subjects according to their own programme.After finishing they are supposed to tell their programme day by day.After that the teacher shows a nice song which is about ‘School Subjects ‘.They watch and sing it together.   • 3. 15’ Activity2:Learning Months and Seasons with an interactive video The teacher first asks for the months .Then the students watch a song video and sing it together.After that he shows seasons and open an interactive song.In that song while watching it they should answer the questions. Evaluation: This lesson planned with the interpersonal and cooperative concerns. Teacher aims to promote meaningful communication around the class. Teacher also aims to improve social skills, trust-building, leadership, decision making, conflict management and team/group soul. Teacher should be sure that competition is avoided among the pupils. Evaluation is ongoing and takes place throughout the lesson by observation of the pupils while they are involved in the activities.
