Introduction
The teacher presents the hero, Teddy the bear. Teddy says
goodmorning to the children and asks from them to sing the
“Goodmorning” song with him.
Teddy is having his birthday party and he is going to invite his
friends to the party. He starts presenting his guests/animals. Pupils
repeat the words after the teacher. The teacher uses different figures
to show the way they will repeat the word (i.e. silently, loudly, in an
angry way).
Teacher asks the pupils to identify the animals’ colours, thus
recycling previously learned colours and introducting the three new
colours (black, white, brown).
Note: We don’t expect the pupils to learn all the words in the first
lesson. The animals will be repeated and revised in the next lesson.

Activity 1: Disappearing pictures. Teddy presents again all his
guests. Children say the words one by one. Then, one of them is
disappeared. Teddy, asks from children to find the missing
guest/animal. When they discover the missing guest/animal, it
appears again.
Activity 2: Teddy informs the children that he has to send invitations
to his guests. He asks for their help to find the envelope for each
invitation. Each pair is given the envelopes and the invitations and
when the teacher reads the word they repeat loudly the word and then
they put the right invitation in the envelope.
