Peek at the Week:
This week we began our last reading unit for the
school year! Students worked on the sound of
/Hh/, cause and effect and reviewed shapes.
During small group reading, we are finding ways
to figure out unknown words (mouth ready, use
picture, use meaning, skip the word and go back).
The pocket chart area allows students to sort
words by how many syllables are in each word.
We are doing a great job at using the counters to
determine the answer to addition and subtraction
problems. We also celebrated our wonderful
Earth by releasing our butterflies, making an art
project and going on a nature walk!
Our Super Star Student Book is being
sent home with a different student each
day. Enjoy talking with your child and
“meeting” each friend in the class!
